SSA Assam Teacher Job 2020: Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission (SSA), Assam has invited application for the posts of 3753 Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) (Social Science) and Upper Primary (Maths & Science) Assistant Teacher vacancy in Lower Primary and Upper Primary School on contractual basis under the Axom Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission.

1. Assistant Teacher (LP)
No of posts: 2966 [UR: 332, EWS: 371, SC: 144, STP: 899, STH: 660, OBC/MOBC: 452, PWD: 108]
2. Assistant Teacher (UP- Social Science)
No of posts: 548 [UR: 37, EWS: 44, SC: 70, STP: 113, STH: 106, OBC/MOBC: 157, PWD: 21]
3. Assistant Teacher (UP- Maths & Science)
No of posts: 239 [UR: 20, EWS: 19, SC: 38, STP: 72, STH: 40, OBC/MOBC: 43, PWD: 7]
Educational Qualification for SSA, Assam Teacher Recruitment 2020:
Assistant Teacher (LP):
At least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes
-Or-
At least 45% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations,2002.
-Or-
At least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
-Or-
Al least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education)
-Or-
Graduation from UGC recognized University with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes
-Or-
Graduation or Post Graduation* with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with LP- TET and Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University **

● The appointee who is appointed on the basis of qualification of Bachelor of Education(B.Ed.) shall mandatorily undergo a Six-month bridge course in Elementary Education recognized by the National council for Teacher Education(NCTE) within two years of the appointment.

Age Limit for SSA, Assam Teacher Recruitment 2020:
Minimum age is 18 years for all candidates and maximum age is 40 years for unreserved category, 43 years for OBC/MOBC and 45 years for SC/ST(P)/ST(H) and 50 years for Parsons with Disability (PwD) as on 1st January'2020 as per Government Office Memorandum vide No.ABP.6/2016/51, dated 02.09.2020. This relaxation shall be applicable only ta those candidates who have attained the necessary educational or other qualifications prior to crossing of their existing upper age limit of 40 years.
Selection Process for SSA, Assam Teacher Jobs 2020:
Separate Mart list will be published for each district. The selection of the candidates shall be strictly in order of merit following procedure as per Government norms.
