The Karnataka Public Service Commission conducts exams to recruit candidates for the service. These young officers recruited by KPSC take up various administrative posts at the district and state level. At the start they play the role of Sub Divisional Magistrate and the on promotion as Additional District Magistrates and then on promotion to IAS they take up various key positions at the district level as Deputy Commissioner and also equivalent IAS cadre jobs at the state level.The Office of the Public Service Commission was located in the “United India” buildings, Bangalore City.

Salary (Pay Scale):
● Assistant (Karnataka Bhavan): Rs.30,350 – 58,250/- PM
● First Division Assistant (FDA): Rs.27,650 – 52,650/- PM
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates should complete Bachelors Degree/ BA/ B.Sc or equivalent qualification from a recognized university/ institution.
Age limit: 21 to 35 years as on 06-03-2020
Relaxations in Upper Age limit:
● 38 years for 2(A), 2 (B), 3(A), 3(B) Category
● 40 years for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Category-1
● Age relaxation as per government policy.
Selection Process:
Selection will be based on the written examination (Compulsory Kannada Language Exam and General Competitive Examination) and Interview

● CAT 2(A), 2 (B), 3(A), 3(B): Rs. 300 + 35/-
● Ex-serviceman: Rs.50 + 35/-
